On July 24, 2026, PCC Intermodal SA signed a contract for the project titled “Construction of a container transshipment terminal and associated facilities in the city of Ropczyce.”
The contract is worth 128 000 000,00 PLN (net) . The contractors are Roverpol Sp. z o.o. and Rover Infraestructuras S.A., which were selected through a competitive bidding process for the construction work in Ropczyce.
The entire project to construct the terminal in Ropczyce, including equipping it with specialized equipment received funding from the European Union under Priority FENX.05 “Support for the transport sector from the EFRR,” Measure FENX.05.06 “Intermodal transport.”
The estimated total cost of the project is 369,130,380.00 PLN (gross), and the grant amount is 147,798,000.00 PLN.
The project will primarily contribute to:
- Ensuring comprehensive intermodal services and the highest quality of service for freight currently transported in containers by long-distance truck transport;
- Developing intermodal transport in southeastern Poland;
- Eliminating bottlenecks caused by an insufficient number of transshipment terminals on the EU’s eastern border and in southeastern Poland;
- Increasing cargo transport capacity to and from Ukraine;
- Long-term development of the intermodal sector by improving the efficiency and punctuality of rail intermodal transport;
- Reduction of long-distance road transport in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship;
- Increased significance and standing status of Poland on the European transport map
On top of above the investment will enable PCC Intermodal SA to maintain its position as a leading logistics operator on the intermodal transport market in Poland and Europe.
