Competitive call for proposals: Intermodal transport – Center for EU Transport Projects.

PCC Intermodal project name:
CONSTRUCTION OF A CONTAINER TRANSHIPMENT TERMINAL WITH ACCOMPANYING FACILITIES IN THE CITY OF ROPCZYCE

Estimated project value: PLN 295,596,000.00 net
Amount of co-financing: PLN 147,798,000.00 net

The investment, among other things, consists of the construction part of the terminal and installing transshipment equipment, including two RMG cranes.

The project involves the construction of an intermodal (road-rail) transshipment terminal with accompanying facilities located in Ropczyce, on the eastern border of the EU in the Podkarpackie Province.
Once the investment is launched, it will be possible to increase the volume of cargo transported by intermodal transport in the region, improve operational efficiency and increase the competitiveness of intermodal connections on both the domestic and international corridors.

The main objective of the project is to develop the TEN-T network by increasing the capacity of the Baltic-Adriatic transport corridor and supporting intermodal logistics in the Baltic-Black Sea-Aegean Sea region, including the transport of containerized cargo to/from Ukraine, and thus further developing intermodal connections.

The investor plans to launch the terminal by 2029.
