In April 30th, 2016 at the PCC Kutno Terminal more than 100 people celebrated first regular train from Kutno to Chengdu departure.
The guest of honor at the celebration was the Secretary of Sichuan Province – Mr. Wang Dongming. The intermodal operator on the Kutno – Brest line was PCC Intermodal S.A. On the polish – belarusian border 41×40’ containers were reloaded on wide gauge platforms, from where containers continue the trip to China. The train transit time from central Poland (Kutno) to Chengdu will take about 11 days.
During the ceremony Chinese Partners oficially announced the start up of the Chengdu office in Poland. Mr Kazimierz Gołygowski, the Head of the Customs office in Łódź handed over to the President of the Management Board of PCC Intermodal an official document confirming Kutno Terminal is short term storage/bonded area.
Kutno is a town were two main transport corridors meet: East – West and Baltic Adriatic. From this day Kutno has become also a symbol where the new Amber and Silk Roads meet!
The loads from China via Kutno will be distributed to Europe by regular intermodal network:
=> Rotterdam 6 times a week
=> Hamburg 5 times a week
=> Ruhr Area (Duisburg) 4 times a week
=> Berlin/ Brandenburg ( Frankfurt Oder) 9 times a week
=> Upper Silesia, Lower Silesia and Dębica 6 times a week
