Rail is one of the most ecological means of transport. According to European Environment Agency, the average CO2 emission per tonne-kilometer (tkm) is:

Rail

15,6 g
/ tkm

Road

139,8 g
/ tkm

That means 124,2 g CO2 less emission per tkm, by changing road to rail *.

THINK INTERMODAL, TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIROMENT

Every day milions of tones of CO2 are released to the atmosfere. Transport is one of the biggest factors that increased pollution. But now You can simply change the level of polluting, by making responsibile choices! It`s easy, think intermodal!
Choose ecological means of transport, and the most optimal solution.

TRUCK

at first and last mile

TRAIN at long distance

CALCULATOR OF SAVED CO2 EMISSION TO THE ATMOSPHERE

One intermodal train is about 40 trucks less on the road, which is converted in tonnes of reduced CO2 emmision to the atmosphere. Per annual PCC Intermodal organises over 5 000 intermodal trains That’s why it’s so important for us to create intermodal solutions! We’re celebrating each transport which we took from road to rail making a clean world, safe roads and better future

Only in 2023 PCC Intermodal by serving clients with intermodal solution has saved over 391 500 t CO2 emission!

by serving clients with intermodal solution has saved almost 300 000 t CO2 emission!
One tree need one year to react 6 kg of CO2 To react one tone of CO 2 we need 166 trees!

For 15 years, PCC Intermodal did the job for almost 330 milion trees by serving intermodal solutions!

INTERMODAL – HOW WE`RE DOING

First step is loading to 45ft container. The truck is used only for the short distance between factory and rail terminal. Loaded container is dropped of the truck on terminal and from now it’s going on train to the closest of the delivery place terminal. This is the moment where our work is most efficient because 90% of the distance it’s going by train. When it arrive to the final terminal the container is picked up to truck again and goes the short distance to unloading plant.

WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO TO PROTECT THE ENVIROMENT

During our daily activites like shopping, traveling, preparing meals, cleaning, we may affect to the environment and live in harmony with the nature. Making responsible choices we can simply change the impact of polluting in the natural enviroment, we can take care our natural resources and effect to make the world better for next generations.
