THE CONTRACT BETWEEN PESA BYDGOSZCZ SA AND PCC INTERMODAL SA HAS BEEN SIGNED!

PCC Intermodal SA  – the leading intermodal operator in Poland and Pesa Bydgoszcz SA – the  largest Polish manufacturer of railway vehicles have signed the contract on the bases of which Pesa will produce 3 brand new locomotives which will support the operator domestic operations.

PCC Intermodal SA has contracted with Pesa Bydgoszcz 3 out of 7 electric locomotives in line with The Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment, Activity 3.2.  Both companies concentrate on the sustainable developments, support green and low emission solutions, promote quality and emphasis the great roll of the market needs and requirements.

Pesa locomotives will be put into operations for the routings between Polish Ports Gdańsk and Gdynia and Polish most important economical regions already in the Summer the next year.

The contract covers electric vehicles production, Polish certification and services.

„We are very pleased that the tender for the delivery of locomotives met with the great interest from contractors and that finally the Polish producer submitted the most advantageous offer. We believe that the experience and quality of PESA products will help us in further development of intermodal transport system in Poland and we can move more and more loads from roads to rail in the most efficient way.” Dariusz Stefański, CEO PCC Intermodal SA

“The first step – signing the contract, successfully done, we look forward to go ahead so that at the end within around a year time we could start operations with 111E-Gama locomotive. You can not develop intermodal transport if not working with highly available and reliable vechicles. You can not promote ecological solutions, create the value added with the bases settled on the quality if your partners/service providers do not aim the same way. Together with Pesa we approach the next levels of our products development.” – said Adam Adamek, Vice-President of PCC Intermodal SA.

“We will deliver PCC Intermodal electric locomotives from the GAMA platform dedicated to intermodal transport. I am convinced that it will perfectly match the transport needs of our client.said Piotr Rościszewski, Sales Manager of the Locomotive and  Carriege Market at PESA.

“PESA is consistently developing the GAMA platform. In addition to the 111Ed, 111E and 111Db locomotives already in operation in Poland, we will soon offer our customers a dual-drive 111DE locomotive, which will be adapted to operation both under the traction network and on non-electrified lines. In autumn, we will also start tests of the first Polish shunting locomotive with a hydrogen drive. Its premiere will take place at the Trako Fair in September.announced Maciej Maciejewski, Vice President, Sales Director of PESA.
