PCC Intermodal summarizes year 2011

It was a good year for us – we have achieved few succesess and have made some significant steps in our development…Year by year, we are becoming a bigger company. It is a great joy for us to watch how our regular container trains link european ports with inland terminals in Europe, and since December 2011 also with Moscow.

In 2011 PCC Intermodal transported over 26 thousand. TEUs more than a year before.

Since 2005, when PCC Intermodal first appeared on intermodal transport market, company is noting constant growth in weight of transported cargo.

Last year PCC Intermodal opened modern handling terminal in central Poland – Kutno Terminal. Furthermore, company started its operations on Gliwice Terminal, located in the Silesian Logistics Center and expanded its share capital in order to fullfill further investment plans. In December 2011 company launched another train in intermodal network: PCC MOSCOW EXPRESS.

Network of PCC’s intermodal trains, with daily services runs between ports in: Rotterdam, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Gdansk and Gdynia and important economic regions of Europe: Ruhr, Berlin area, Central Poland, Upper and Lower Silesia and Moscow.

At its beginnings, Company was organizing one train weekly. Nowadays PCC Intermodal is organizing more than 50 trains weekly, and is a leader of intermodal transport in Poland.

Next step in company’s development will be launching the regular connection in Baltic-Adriatic transport corridor. First train in Sopron direction will be settled on spring.

In next step Company plans to expand Kutno Terminal as well as do the modernization and investments in machinery park of Silesian Terminals. Later this year company will present a concept of building dry port in Pomerania Region (realization of this investment is planned on 2015). Due to development of connections in eastern Europe direction, company is planning to invest in terminal infrastructure in eastern Poland.

Dynamics, determination and consequence of actions make PCC Intermodal a strong and stable link in the supply chain. Good investment for hard times.
