Intermodal transport
Intermodal transport (previously known also as 'combined') is a method for the transport of cargo which involves by its nature the use of a minimum of two means of transport in moving units of cargo along a stage from point A to point B.
In the case of PCC Intermodal S.A. cargo is carried in containers over long distances with the aid of rail transport and delivered direct to the door of the customer using road transport. For the efficient functioning of the process it is necessary to perform transshipment operations at inland terminals
Model of intermodal transport to/from marine terminal:
Cargo is transported as a part of import / export.
