Development of intermodal processes
The essence of the work undertaken by the Development Department at PCC Intermodal S.A. rests on two fundamental operational areas:
logistics and transport for cargo within PCC Group
aimed at seeking transport solutions optimal in terms of cost and quality, enabling the creation of a significant competitive advantage for PCC companies on world markets
organisation and support of the intermodal transport process within special connections
formed as part of cargo transport projects dedicated to the needs of company partners and not covered by the range of regular connections provided by PCC Intermodal S.A.
The output of the Development Department includes:
- detailed market analyses
- projects for the development of intermodal transport in Poland
- the drawing up of new intermodal connections
- concepts for location and development of terminal infrastructure
- projects involving collaboration with partners (carriers, infrastructure administrators, trucking firms and other operators)
- trade studies forming the basis for thematic discussion at conferences and study meetings both domestic and foreign
- areas of collaboration within international projects for development of intermodal transport and transport corridors in Europe (EIA, UIRR and SoNoRa)
