The main area of activity undertaken by the firm involves the organisation of intermodal transport for goods in containers, on the basis of regular rail connections coordinated with road transport, at a stage enabling completion of orders for door-to-door services.

PCC Intermodal began its operations as a company in July 2005 as PCC Rail Containers Sp. z o.o.

In August 2005 PCC Rail Containers was the first in Poland to initiate regular connections by private train from an inland terminal to a port. In this way an alternative to previous connections was formed, convenient for entrepreneurs, in the fragmented traffic involved in transport of containers over long distances by road.

In the activity of PCC Intermodal terminals comprise a major element in the optimisation of the transport process. In 2008 the company extended its operations, initiating connections between Polish terminals and Hamburg and Bremerhaven, and thus evolving from a Polish intermodal operator into a strong link in an international supply chain.

In response to needs raised by the market, PCC Intermodal S.A. commenced investment, the construction of a net of its own modern intermodal terminals in Poland. An orientation toward developing the investment process and creating infrastructure which allows the supply chain to be optimised was the chief reason for the debut of the firm on the stock exchange. When on 18 December 2009 PCC Intermodal was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, it was the first company to be so in the business.

The principal task of PCC Intermodal S.A. is offering comprehensive and competitive (in terms of time and price) transport of containers following schedules for fixed connections between modern inland terminals and ports.

PCC Intermodal, out of concern for road safety and promotion of processes favourable to the environment, considers it appropriate to limit through the development of its services transport of containers over long distances on Polish roads.

In its operations, the Company is engaged in the transfer of containers from road to rail.

The mission of the firm is building a position as national and international leader in intermodal services on the basis of the highest standards of quality in customer service. PCC Intermodal S.A. is a strong and stable link in a supply chain. The staff of the firm combine experience and professionalism with proven management methods in their everyday work and business decisions. The company operates flexibly and is open to the needs of the market, at the same time utilising modern solutions in terminal and transport operations.
